What kind of experience do I need to play?

NO RUGBY EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Since rugby is an emerging sport in Central Valley we don't require previous rugby experience to join. We do prefer you to have an athletic background. We have a proven track record in converting crossover athletes into great rugby players!

Where do you play games?

We are a part of the Northern California Rugby Football Union. A geographical union under USA Rugby. We play home games in Fresno, CA and away games are play throughout Northern California and Reno, NV.

How much does it cost to join the Golden Dogs Rugby Club?

2023-2024 dues will be $250.

What do I get with Membership Dues?

You will get a rugby kit consisting of shorts, practice/warmup tee, and socks. Dues also help fund club expenses like field equipment, referee fees, and team building activities.

 

What is the commitment to play?

Participate in practice, positive attitude, willingness to travel, and commit to having fun. You will also need to register with the club under USA Rugby.

When are practices?
Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9p. *Some Saturday sessions.

When are games?

Games are on Saturdays. We have a slogan in rugby, Saturday is a RUGBY DAY!
